i am planning to update my system with AMD 3.5 AM3+ FX 6-Core Edition FX-6300 and a MSi motherboard with 4 GB RIPJAWS RAM . do i need to add another 1 gb graphic card for gaming or it will work fine without it for playing high end games?

answering this question...

there's no am3+ motherboard that equipped with onboard graphic card..
so the answer yes..you need graphic card(s)..

btw, not only 1 gb, you can pick any pcie graphic card from 128mb to 12gb..

answering your title..

no..you can take anything from any brand from any manufacturer from any vendor..
as long it can display graphic and fit on your motherboard pcie 16x slot, it's okay..

so, no matter amd or nvdia graphic card.. as long as it can display decent frames rate while gaming, then you need it..
