will an 8320 bottleneck r9 280 x2

Solution

270x in crossfire will beat it, of course, but here are a few problems

1. Not all games will support crossfire or SLI at day one, or weeks before it's been out. Heck, there are games that will not support SLI or crossfire at all. The second card would be just sitting there on idle.

2. 1 card is stable verse 2 cards, there will be software issues with crossfire. Crossfire and SLI aren't perfect, but it works.

3. Heat output of 2 AMD cards will be a...

will an r9 290 be better than at least 270x crossfire? i'll play bf4, titanfall, crysis 3. If i am not mistaken, those titles scale good on sli/crossfire right?

3. Heat output of 2 AMD cards will be a issue, depending on the airflow inside your case. You might also need case fans so the cards will get enough airflow to keep themselves cool.

4. The power usage is another problem depending on what PSU you have. Some say that 750 watts is recommended.

I always recommend spending the money on a single, higher end card, then 2 weaker cards.

Not really, it doesn't use that much power. A 500-650 watt psu will be enough for it.

what you just said may blow up his computer .And to settle it in the middle ground, Get a 280x They arent as expensive as a 290 but are more expensive than a 270. You will definitely need 600w for a 290 and 600w for 280x but for a 270x Xfire you would need 650 or 700

500-650 watt is enough.

Why not go with a R9 290? If a 270x will cost you around 200$ with a good cooler, that's 400$ you'll spend for them. A cheap r9 290 will cost you 380$ from gigabyte.

Why not use the money, and get a single, powerful card? Less problems to worry about really. The R9 290 will come with 4gb of memory, and it's the same price point as the GTX 770.
