Graphics card not displaying

I recently bought a Asus Z97-A Motherboard for my new build when I put my Gigabyte r9 270 and the display won't show but when I take out the graphics card it starts displaying
Need help!

did you plug in the additional power supply to the card(6pin pcie + an 8pin pcie)i think

Yes I plugged in the Two PCIE 6 pin to the graphics card and I didn't get any signal but the card turns on
So I don't know if its my motherboard PCIE Slot not working or if its my graphics card.

try with a different graphics card and if it still doesn't work the gpu might be defective else the pcie slot(chances are rare for the pcie slot to be defective)
