I have a pair of Andget SADES SA-903 headsets, which, when they work, sound decent for the price. However, I frequently encounter a horrid distortion in audio output and can't seem to find a reason. The distortion happens often but not constantly and doesn't seem to be limited to any particular application (happens in games, videos and native Windows). I've tried different USB ports and the problem still occurs. The only thing that has seemed to 'fix' the issue is to switch the playback device in Windows sound applet from "Speakers" to "Digital Output", however, I fear this fix is only temporary.
Can someone please advise me on what could be causing the distortion and what the significant difference is between the speakers and digital output playback devices??
Further details:
There are no other USB sound devices connected, only 3.5mm jack speakers.
The drivers that came with the headset have been installed and the SADES application is running and detects the headset.
The headset is plugged directly into the integrated USB port (tried USB 2 and 3), not an external or internal USB hub/mount.
