Hello guys, i got 4GB 1600Mhz today, but when i put them with mine 2GB 533Mhz they wont work together, when put only mine 4gb it works same with 2gb stick, any solution?

Solution
Mobo, CPU and DRAM model numbers would be very handy, dependy on mobo there also is the possibility that the mobo supports flex mode wher the two sticks would operate as 4GB in dual channel and the odd 2GB on the 4GB stick in single channel....I'd try manually setting to 1066 9-9-9-27 initially and see if they play, then can try fine tuning from there, but will need the info mentioned
*I think his "533MHz" stick is what we'd normally call a "1066MHz" kit in Dual Channel. So his "1600MHz" memory as a single stick is 800MHz.

(Two sticks in Dual-Channel of a "1600MHz" kit still operate at 800MHz each, however the "effective" frequency is 1600MHz).

He'll also lose some bandwidth by not being in Dual-Channel which requires the same CAPACITY and ideally same frequency.

**Here's the MOST RELIABLE methods in order:

#1 - IDENTICAL 2nd stick (4GB 1600MHz same model number)

#2 - 4GB stick with identical specs, but not same exact model number

#3 - 2GB stick with identical specs

#4 - 2GB or 4GB stick with frequency/CAS as close as possible (i.e. 1600MHz CAS9), however IT MAY NOT WORK.

Other:
As Armantaxi has said you can try to default to a lower value such as 533MHz in hopes it works, however he implies that it WILL work and there simply are no guarantees.

Frequency is just one issue. The timings need to match up as well. There are simply memory sticks that won't work no matter what you try.
