AMD 965BE overclocking

Hello,

I'm trying to OC my old 965BE. I finished polishing it, the idle temps at 3,8GHz are 35°C and at Prime95 the temp reaches 50°C at the voltage of 1,45V. I can't go lower, it crashes.
I'm using a Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P for overclocking.
Now, if I try to increase the core clock just a bit, my PC crashes when trying to run Prime95. It doesn't matter whether I increase CPU voltage or not. Quite annoying, I must say.
Now, there's an option for "CPU Northbridge VID control" and "NB voltage control". I tried increasing those a tiny little bit, but I didn't really know whether they could be harmful or not.
What exactly is the problem? Why can't I OC more?

Thanks in advance!
Best wishes,
Razaretcha

P.S. I couldn't find any old threads that helped me out, that's why I had to ask this here.

The clock speed of your components is driven by multipliers.

Drop your RAMs one speed divider --- Set your system clock --->>>
1600MHz RAMs: 240MHz (X 6.67)
1333MHz RAMs: 250MHz (X 5.33)
This returns your RAMs to spec speed, and jacks the system clock.

Drop your HT Link speed to 8X.
Drop your NB/IMC speed to 8X (you can raise it, later)
Lock your PCIe speed to 100MHz.

You may now use the unlocked CPU multiplier to your advantage with the system clock at either 240- or 250MHz.

Take manual control of your voltages. GB motherboards are bad to over-volt. Try -0.05v and see how she barks at 3.6GHz or so.
