I am currently building my first PC and I am up to the stage to choose which RAM I would like...

I have been looking at two RAM kits which I cannot choose between:

- CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB 1866Mhz (2 x 8GB) CMY16GX3M2A1866C9R
- G.SKILL Trident X Series 16GB 1866Mhz (2 x 8GB) F3-1866C8D-16GTX

I like the look of the Vengeance Pro more than the G.Skill but the G.Skill is a little cheaper here in New Zealand and has a lover CAS Latency (CL8 instead of CL9 on the Corsair).

I dont really care for the prices that much. I just need other peoples opinion on the two or if there is any better RAM I should look into.

I am going for a red & black theme for my system and here are the specs so far on the build:

Corsair Carbide Series® Air 540
Corsair RM650 650 Watt PSU
Asus ROG MAXIMUS VII HERO
Intel Devil's Canyon Core i5 4690K
Corsair Hydro Series™ H100i
Samsung 850 PRO SERIES 256GB SSD
Western Digital BLACK SERIES WD3003FZEX 3TB

I Currently have a Asus GTX 660Ti OC but I will soon upgrade to the GTX 880 when it arrives...

Thanks for any help you can give me :)

Agree, even myself using Vengeance. G.Skill is hard to find here.

Sorry, i think 1TB is enough for internal storage. You can add reduced budget from 3TB storage to another part. Storage can be extended anytime in future using external or internal HD. Only suggestion :D
