CPU Recommendation for my Gaming PC

Hey guys, so here is my PC and I want you to suggest me a CPU.
I currently have an Intel Core i7 950 @ 3.07 GHz
Thinking of AMD FX-6300 or maybe AMD FX-8350 I dont know really but I guess those are better than the one I have. I would probably go with this My budget is around 100-120$

yes the fx 6300 would be better than your old processor but you also have to change the mobo for that, so get a fx 6300 with a cpu cooler like coolermaster hyper 212 evo and a am3+ socket board.
the rest of system is very good u have picked good ram , good psu and good card.

Yes but all those things arent in my budget... Any other recommendations? Or else I would stick with my CPU, what do you think about that? Is another CPU really needed? I am upgrading my computer so I will buy all these, I only have the mobo and the cpu.

I have fx 6300 overclocked at 4.3. I use it with my r9 270x TOXIC. It seems to work perfectly and so far I had no problems. Idk about R9 280 tho.... Fx 8350 might work better but it costs more then 120.

Honestly the fx 6300 isn't an upgrade(and would require a new motherboard), even from an older cpu like the i7 950 it's more of a sideways move and not worth the cost.

i dont think u can get a better cpu for under $120 than the AMD FX-6300
