I need some advice on building my first gaming pc for a pretty simple budget. These are the parts i am planning on getting (please tell me if there is a incompatibility issue!).

-Amd Fx-8350 (4Ghz, Octa core)
-Amd Radeon R9 270X
-Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard
-Any type of RAM (8GB)
-Corsair CX Series 500 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Bronze ATX12V/EPS12V 456 Power Supply CX500M
-Any case (Please leave suggestions)
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler (I've heard of issues with the Fx-8350 getting toasty with the stock cooler)
-SSD: Crucial M500 120GB SATA
-HDD: WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive

Please leave any advice you have below, remember this is a budget build too :)

Solution

It'll be great, but if you're open to change, I would get the Core i5-4690K.

Just out of curiosity, what can you run and at what quality? I've seen benchmarks but not much in the real life performance of the card/cpu combo.

GPU : If you can fit it in, try getting an R9 280. (non x)

PSU : I'd go with a different brand like seasonic/antec etc.

CASE : A good case for the money is the 300r which is an ATX Mid tower case. It's roomy which makes it easier for upgrades.

MOBO : I'd go for at a 970 but.. that's just me..

I would do something like this. If you have room in your budget, get an i5.
