I have £50 and i dont get anymore money for a while.

specs:

A8-6600k 3.9GHz Quad Core
8GB RAM
mid tower case
Gigabyte f2a88xm-ds2

My APU runs 30-45 fps smooth and steady in hills/open areas. In city its 2015-20FPS.

Somebody offered me a gtx 260 for £30 and its brand new he used it once, shall i get it? I just need to run ARMA 3 Smooth wherever i am. even if its on medium or low.

I cant afford a gtx 660

The weakest part of your system is the integrated graphics, your APU. On the contrary to legend001523's response, yes the GTX 260 will improve gaming performance significantly. (Your APU, the HD 8570D graphics is weaker than the GTX 260.) Tied in with your 8GB RAM and the GTX 260, you should be able to run the game at high/ultra graphical setting without any frame drops below 30. I would recommend you install a graphics card on your system for optimal game play.

However from my opinion I would not purchase a GTX 260 if you plan on playing other games in the future. I just had an EVGA GTX 260 which I sold a week ago, I used it for 3 months before selling it. Don't get me wrong, the GTX 260 is a solid card on performance; however it...

Don't get me wrong, the GTX 260 is a solid card on performance; however it doesn't have DirectX11 support, hence why I upgraded. (You may think DX11 support isn't anything major, but if you plan on playing newer games in the future, you'll be at a dead end and you'll need to upgrade again.) I know it maybe difficult, but if you can stretch your budget out by £5 to a total of £55, I would purchase the EVGA GTX 560 Ti from eBay.

The GTX 560 Ti will last you longer than the GTX 260 (FYI, I upgraded from the GTX 260 to a GTX 570). With a GTX 560 Ti, your CPU and RAM will easily run ARMA 3; you will not have to worry about frame drops at all. I would purchase the GTX 560 Ti I have linked, otherwise if it's out of your budget, I suppose the GTX 260 will have to do for £30. The GTX 260 will still improve gaming performance for you.

All the best. :)
