help - need advice on graphics

Well, in this day in age, for most games, you'd have to go for a card within the range of the Radeon HD 7970 or GTX 750, both being excellent upper-middle range cards.
If you want to go all out, however, I'd upgrade my power supply and get a Radeon R9 290X or GTX 780 Ti. List your power supply and I can get a bearing on what cards would be good for you!

OK. Were off to a good start! Now, before ANY GPU upgrade, you need to upgrade that power supply unit! I'd say any 80+ Bronze Certified 850-Watt PSU will do you well!

let's stop all the mumbo jumbo. at no time did OP state he was upgrading the rest of his system ( cpu/ram/mobo ).......... so none of those huge graphics cards or big power supplies will do any good.

^ True. A modest 450W (still good quality) will do. If you do upgrade in future, you can keep the supply. Where do you live/shop? We can make some suggestions.

i live in Australia so there are various online computer stores which i can purchase from. i wouldnt be against upgrading the power as well as graphics so any suggestions would be welcomed, especially ones that could save me money lolz

I would go for a solid 450w from a good manufacturer.
I would do that along with a gtx 750 ti, and another 4gb of ram if you have a 64bit OS.
save money then you can reuse those components when you upgrade.
