Hello, any tips or suggestions that can help me make this system ever better?
- GTX 780Ti SC/ ACX
- Intel Core i7 4790K
- SeaGate Barracude 1 TB
- G. Skill Sniper Series 8 GB RAM
- Rosewill Blackhawk Gaming ATX
- ASUS Maximus VII Hero
- SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series 128GB
- EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 220
- ASUS 24X DVD Burner
- Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-Bit Full Version

Solution

For an air cooler I would say a noctua nh-d14. Its a fantastic cooler but its quite large and not very good looking. For water I would say something like a h100i or h105.

Dammit, accidentally put as Solution, I was going to tell you if it came to that I would probably get the Cooler Master hyper 212 EVO. Good choice?

I'll deselect as solution. For a light overclock its a great cooler.

Thanks! What would you suggest for a medium to high overclock rate?

Solution

Exactly what I meant, but get it now if you'll SLI. If you have the money, though, try this:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($186.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $186.99

It costs about 20$ more expensive than its 80+ Gold brother, but it's well worth it.

The problem is I won't be using SLI in quite awhile I think

If you're a hardcore gamer or doing heavy video.image rendering, then SLI is a must.

Two GTX 780Ti SC are going to run max setting on all games for a decade hehe.

I probably would have to upgrade some stuff to match the performance of SLI GTX 780 Ti. I'll probably just stick to what I have because I am on a budget.

If you won't SLI, then 750-850 watts are fine for you.

That is extremely high compared to the estimate I received from pcpartpicker.com. 450 Watts is the estimate that it gave me.

Please consider the fact the a 780 Ti WILL draw a lot of power. On the EVGA website, it says that a 600 watt PSU is required.

True, I'll just go ahead and get the 750 Watt. Is there a recommended 750 Watts that is a little bit cheaper?
