Hello community :D  This is my first post, so sorry if it's not where it belongs :/

So, a while back I got some active shutter 3d glasses to use with my GTX 660 Ti with 3d Vision. They weren't from Nvidia, but I got them for a really good price. So when I got them, they didn't work at first. After researching a little bit, I slightly recall reading somewhere that Nvidia released a patch or update that doesn't let you use those. However, I do remember downloading an old patch (306.23 WHQL I believe) which made it work like a charm. So after a while I eventually managed to get my hands on a GTX 780, and gave the 660 Ti to my brother.

Not so surprisingly, I faced the same issue that I once did back with my GTX 660 Ti. The only problem is that the update that I used back then was released in 2012, and my graphics card is not supported by it.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Any way to make that old upgrade work with my GTX 780, or to make those 3rd party glasses work with my machine?

Thanks guys...

Most likely not. As NVIDIA updates their 3D Vision drivers to improve 3D performance, I'm sure they identified that eventually other active shutter lenses would not perform identically as theirs (or they just want to not have to support compatibility with other manufacturers) and thus patched that out. Your best bet is to find a pair of the glasses individually. Occasionally you can find them on Ebay for around $40.
