Hey guys, this is my first post. I was wondering what graphics card would be best for light/medium gaming. Games like Call of Duty, OMSI (a bus simulator), Titanfall and some other games with a decent FPS. What do you guys think would be best? My budget is also $220 AUD. I would prefer Nvidia, but if AMD is strongly recommened, then I will go with that. Thanks for the help in advance :)

Could the CX 430 handle that setup? Yeah, it could. It's not like the system will be at 100% utilization. Would I prefer a PSU with a bit more headroom? Yes, I would.

When it comes to someone else's configuration, I prefer to err on the side of caution. I'd sleep more soundly at night if I told you to go with the 750 Ti.

If you decide to upgrade your PSU, then we can re-discuss the other aforementioned options.

Without knowing any further details, such as your desired gaming resolution, or what type of additional power your PSU can accommodate, I'd recommend using the full extent of your budget.

At 220 AUD, you are in the territory of the Nvidia GTX 660, or the AMD R9 270x.

If you have a CX 430 I strongly recommend you to get a GTX 750 Ti, since ti doesn't require a lot of power. I wouldn't put an R9 270X or a GTX 660 or whatever, it wouldn't be safe. And if you're playing in 1600x900 it won't make much of a difference anyways. Here are some good suggestions:

The CX430 only has one 6 pin connector, which makes the GTX 660 the more appropriate choice over the R9 270x. The PSU has the headroom and rail power for a card like the 660, give that the rest of the system isn't overly power hungry. Tell us the rest of your configuration so we can be certain of your available PSU power.

Francisco makes a fair recommendation, as the 750 Ti is more modern and efficient, and would keep a few dollars in your pocket. At 1600x900 resolution, the 750 Ti would be plenty ample at medium settings. Then again, the GTX 660 would be ample at 1920x1080 and medium settings. If it's my money, I'm liable to go with the card that gives me that extra headroom, but that's me.
