A decent gaming laptop on my budget?

This has probably been asked a thousand times over....

What would be a solid gaming laptop for around $800-1000? I have looked around extensively and can't decide.

I've been eying the Lenovo y510, along with several others:

Some of the qualities I'm looking for is it to be around the silent side, and mechanically reliable; my last laptop fell apart at the hinge. If you got a recommendation, all comments are welcomed!

Thanks Joe the link. Does that laptop go on sale ever though? It goes over my budget by about 200.

Both have i7 4710mq as CPU and 860m (GPU) maxwell with optimus technology which translates into that Neither of them should overheat and may have decent to good battery-life. Good perfomance and are in your budget if you can stretch like 20$ of your budget

Depends what games you wanna play. If you wan tto play the latest releases on moderate-high settings, buy a desktop.
