Hey everyone, so I appear to have a Windows issue, I get random freezes all the time. First, I can run Windows fine in SafeMode (and SafeMode with networking) with 0 freezes. What I've done now is gone into msconfig and selected "Selective Startup" under the "General" tab and the only box that is checked is the "Load System Services". I also have nothing set to start at startup. My first question is; is that the appropriate box to have checked, or should I be using the "Normal" or "Diagnostic" options? Next as for the drivers, in the device manager, there are no exclamation marks next to any of the drivers so I'm not sure if that's what it is. Are there any 3rd party driver updaters/ managers that you guys recommend? Lastly, I guess I need to be honest about this, I am running a pirated copy of Windows 7, so that also may have something to do with it. My plan of action is to format my hard drive on a different computer, install a clean, official version of Windows 7, and get all of my drivers updated to what they need to be after that. I'd really appreciate some help/advice with the drivers, I really do not know what I am doing there. Normally, I just install them from the disk that came with the hardware, but someone told me those are out of date and could cause problems, do I have to go to each of the manufactures website individually and download the newest one? Thanks in advance for the help!

Thank you for the reply profkefah. Malwarebytes came up with nothing, the PC was totally clean (I just ran it the other day, and partitioned and deleted what it found.). As for CCleaner, it looks like it did some stuff, but I'm not 100% sure what. In order to see if this fixed it, I'm going to let a YouTube playlist play all day and see if it freezes. 90% percent of the time when it freezes, a video from YouTube or Netflix is playing, which leads me to believe that it is a GPU driver problem, but I've uninstalled and re-installed it so many times and it has not fixed it. Will update later.

EDIT: After having the PC on in normal mode for around 30-45 minutes,it froze during a YouTube video. I'm back in SafeMode now, waiting for a solution.
