Looking to build a computer for video editing (Premiere, AE, Speedgrade). Most of my business is editing AVCHD files for the web but I'd like my new computer to be ready to tackle 4k or RED camera footage. I've read a lot of posts here but can't find a post that works for my needs. Not sure if I need 16GB or 32GB RAM? Would like to keep it at around $2k.
Thanks, in advance...

Intel 6 cores 5820k just presented, nvidia gtx 760 (not so much gain going for a 780), at least 16gb of ram.
Now the problem is: how will you feed the data? For fullhd production you usally have a ssd for the system / scratch disk / for exporting the video backed up by a raid 1 array of wd red hdd for heavy data... but can they sustain multiple 4k streams? Maybe they do but if I were you I'll focus on this possible issue unless you are common with proxy editing.
Let me know if you find something out :)
