My friend and I are considering starting up a YouTube channel as a hobby. Currently, I have a CAD U1 microphone, as well as a boom and pop filter for it. Here's the issue; the CAD U1 sounds great in terms of audio quality, but there is a constant buzzing sound in the recordings. This is a simple fix, all I have to do is mute the audio during silent moments. The problem with this is that there are so many spots in between talking to mute, and it takes so long. With all of that said, I would really appreciate recommendations of a mic that will do a decent job recording the voices of 2 people sitting 12-24 inches away from the mic at a price range of less than $100. I would be willing to use a microphone that requires an interface and I will be willing to pay the extra money for the interface. If that isn't possible, I would like to know what the cheapest microphone I can get that fits my requirements while not having to compromise too much in the way of quality. Also, for the record, if any of my prerequisites aren't feasible, let me know.
