Hello, I just recently put this build together on PcPartPicker http://pcpartpicker.com/user/conman217/saved/VX6p99 after doing computer research for nearly 2 years now. I am finally putting my money into this, and should be ordering parts in the next few weeks.
I was mostly curious for advice on my monitor and GPU selection. I know this r9 290 is great at 1080p, and the vapor -x is one of the coolest and quietest non reference 290s available. ( It also fits with the blue color scheme of my build ). Is there any info on a new generation of amd cards coming soon? I know nvidia is set to release the 800 series very soon. Any thoughts on a better monitor within that similar price range please let me know, as well as thoughts on the overall build.

This computer will be used for photoshop, after effects, cinema 4d, and gaming.
Thanks!

I'd swap the PSU for something non CX series, but other than that, looks good!

Thanks for the response! Any particular reason? PSU's are the area of computers I am least knowledgeable in.

The CX series aren't made for extreme conditions, like you have there, due to the 2nd tier capacitors used in the CX series. Grab yourself one of these.

Thanks for the revisions! I think that will be my final build, minus the r9 290 ( probably wait to see what maxwell gpu's have to offer, and the price drop on 700 series )
