Im looking for a cheap gaming pc to play a few select games on (eg. minecraft, Terraria, Wizard 101, TF2, Dishonored and Skyrim). The more intensive games like Dishonored and skyrim dont have to be maxed out settings. I am on a strict $400 CANADIAN!!! budget. I has to be UNDER $400 with shipping and tax. I can play off itegrated graphics until I have enough for a decent GPU. Basically I want a barebones kit. I have my eye on one, AMD FX-6300, everything else but graphics card.
Also, I'm a bit of a AMD fanboy, so I'd like to get the FX-6300. Im open to suggestions, but NOT a dual core, at LEAST quad core

I would LOVE it if the websites had free shipping, or if they can be all from the same website. Put 1337 in your comment if you read the description
Thanks!,

It looks good, but I;d really like a FX build, and under $400, Also, I need them to be from the same place or have free shipping

FX Build will be much more expensive , These prices include mail-in Rebates. A Best bang for your buck will be an intel build like this :

And don't be fooled by the number of cores , this processor will out perform the 760K when overclocked easily !

This is really for a AMD fanboy like you said. My build in the other thread will be cheaper, w/ a better gpu and entirely from newegg.
The thing about amd fx is that you need at least a barely overclockable motherboard and a 3rd party cooler otherwise i dont think its worth at all.

Just as a suggestion, it would be a good idea to at least try and consider an intel dual core (assuming budget permits). As for the CPU and budget. Unless you are reusing some old parts from whatever previous computer you have, you'll most likely be looking at something over 400CAD if you're looking for a fx 6300. The sacrifice on the rest of the system would make it almost pointless to run most of those games until you get more money for a stronger GPU and most likely a stronger PSU also. The Athlon build above is a pretty good build for what you're looking to do as is.

If you already have an optical drive you could use, or able to install windows off a flash drive, you can sacrifice on the optical in that build and then drop the GPU down to like... a gt 730 or r7 240, then you'll be able to fit the fx 6300 in. Unless someone has deals I'm missing or something, this is what I've come up with as a fx 6300 system:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($119.99 @ Canada Computers)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($54.99 @ Canada Computers)
Memory: G.Skill Value Series 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory ($39.99 @ Canada Computers)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.79 @ DirectCanada)
Video Card: XFX Radeon R7 240 2GB Video Card ($69.95 @ Vuugo)
Case: BitFenix Merc Beta (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($19.99 @ NCIX)
Power Supply: EVGA 430W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply ($39.99 @ Memory Express)
Total: $394.69

You'd be better off with the athlon system above, just as a more balanced system. This thing doesn't even have a strong enough GPU to be getting an enjoyable experience in games. You may be able to play some of those games at low with acceptable frame rates (most likely terraria and TF2 I'm thinking).

I guess it doesnt matter what kind, all I want is a PC to play games on. I will most likely end up going to local computer stores and buying the parts from there, no shipping. I dont need an OS, mouse keyboard or monitor. But I absolutly cannot go over $400 CAD

My suggestion is to do a slow upgrade of the computer you have right now(assuming you have a desktop). Use that 400$ on a decent CPU, motherboard, maybe RAM if needed, and PSU if needed., assuming you already have a GPU of sorts.

I suggest going with one of luca's builds, sacrifice on the optical drive if you need to save money anywhere. If you need to install windows on the drive, download the windows installer onto a flash drive if you have one big enough.

Then you should buy my original suggested build:
