Hello guys, i'm going to build a pc, but i have some questions about futureproofing... :)

This is the build:

CPU - Core i7 4790k
CPU Cooler - Noctua NH-D14
Motherboard - Asus Z-97A
RAM - 16GB Corsair Vengeance PRO 2400MHz
Video Card - EVGA GTX 780 ACX Superclocked
Case - Fractal design define R4
Power supply - EVGA G850w.

So, my questions are:

- Is the i7 4790k worth it, over the i5 4790k, cuz i want to futureproof my build.
- Is 16gb of RAM worth it over 8?

I want to futureproof as much as possible, and i think games gonna use More than 4 cores, and maybe more than 8gb RAM, please help me,

Thanks!

if you have the money to spent and you do not have a tight budget and you dont care a lot for price to preformance go for it.
hyperthreading in games today does not improve in naything but you wont know if they will tomorrow.most games require at least 4 gb of ram some 6 but what if you want to upgrade to 16 in the future and you cant find the same ram and you are forced to buy a new kit? if you have the money go for it if you dont then look to alternatives.
