Allright, I've done some more research and have updated the components list:

OD, Mobo, CPU & GPU stay the same
PSU: XFX 750W XXX Edition 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular Power Supply
HDD: WD 2 TB 3.5-inch Internal Hard Drive - Black
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws-X Memory Memory 16GB (1600MHz, 240-pin, 2x 8GB, CL10) DIMM DDR3 Memory Kit
Case: If someone could find me a nice red case WITH A WINDOW that's not too expensive possibly by Aerocool (if not, that's ok too)(Just to give you an idea, I find that Strike-X's look nice :) )

Hello,
I am planning to build my own computer. But I'm only 12 and my dad says he wants to be sure it won't be a waste of money.

BTW I live in Belgium so if someone wants to post a link than please make sure the product will ship to Belgium.

Here is my list of components:

Mobo: MSI B85-G43 Gaming Intel LGA1150 B85 Gaming ATX Motherboard (4x DDR3, 4x USB 3, 8x USB 2, GBE, LAN, VGA, HDMI, DVI)

GPU: MSI NVIDIA GTX 750Ti Gaming 1085MHz (Boost 1163MHz) 5400MHz 2GB 128-bit DDR5 DL-DVI-D HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit - Red

HDD: WD - 2TB Desktop SATA Hard Drive - OEM - Green (also what do they mean by a OEM hardrive?)

Optical drive: LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x SATA Half Height Internal DVDRW Drive - Black

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K Quad Core Retail CPU (Socket 1150, 3.50GHz, 8MB, Haswell, 84W, Intel Graphics, BX80646I74770K, 4th Generation Intel Core, Turbo Boost Technology 2.0)

Case: DESKTOP COMPUTER PC CASE Galaxy 3 Mid Tower Black 450W PSU Bubble Light Windows LED (yes it actually comes with a PSU! But do you recommend upgrading? I've read in the reviews its pretty cheap and noisy...)

That was my parts list!
You might be wondering why a twelve-year-old would want to build a computer but I'm actually very experienced and skilled with them!

Thanks in advance,
Karl ~snip~ (16 year old me cleaning up my search results)

Yup my friend has that case and it is just pure rubbish, the PSU supplied with it is no doubt gonna be a ticking time bomb so stay clear of it.

Anyhow, if I as you I'd drop the i7 down to an i5 like this one: http://www.forcom.be/componenten/processoren/intel-1150-i5-4690.html

As for the HDD, I'd also drop that down to 1tb and get a faster one like this: http://www.forcom.be/componenten/harddisks/western-digital-3-5-sata3-1tb-caviar-bl.html

With the extra funds from dropping down to an i5 and a 1 tb HDD get a decent PSU and case:

Hi Karl,

do not get case with built in psu
you dont need an i7 for gaming
your mobo needs an update bios

get
i5 4590
Gigabyte H97M D3H
G.Skill Ripjaws X 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz
R9 270x
XFX 550w
nzxt source 210 casing
WDC blue 2 TB

what type of games you will gonna play?

what is your budget?
IMO a $600-$700 rig is suitable in your age

Do you want to overclock? You have a CPU which can be overclocked but your motherboard is not for overclocking and you do not list a CPU cooler so I guess you plan to use the stock cooler which is no good for overclocking.

Is the main purpose gaming, if it is then it is unbalanced, the CPU is over the top and the GPU is low end.

Hi again thanks so much for writing back so fast! I REALLY appreciate it!
Also thanks for the suggestion of the case (was debating between that one and another(definitely going for the other!))
But now I think of it the HDD drop to 1TB isn't a very bad idea after all.(the reason I chose 2TB was because there wasn't a big price difference)
I'm not planning to overclock so staying with stock CPU fan.
Would the GPU be any good for Watch Dogs??
I am also going to be using programs like Photoshop and After Effects so any more suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks again,
Karl

I overlooked this thread sorry Karl
I hope its not too late (even it is) LOL
with 750 ti you can still play watchdogs in high settings 30-40fps, for 270x you can play it on ultra settings 35-45fps @1080p.
there will be no problem on Ps and Aa.
