you turn V-Sync off, and anything above 60fps will look smoother than it would on a 60Hz monitor. 100fps+ feels buttery. :)

A 144 Hz monitor will reduce motion blur, particularly if your system can output more then 60 FPS.
Unfortunately, all 144 Hz monitors have TN panels which have inferior image quality to IPS or PLS panels.

If your computer is producing a higher frame rate than 60 fps and you have a 60 Hz monitor, generally enable vsync.
If you have on one of the very few monitors supporting gsync, then enable this.
Otherwise, unless experiencing tearing, leave vsync disabled.

Tearing is easier to deal with than input lag caused by V-Sync, though.

^ If you take games seriously, input lag isn't an option. It's like playing an online game with lag.
Even the cursor feels laggy as hell with V-Sync enabled.

I agree for fps games but for stuff like watchdogs I barely noticed it.

Probably because Watch_Dogs runs like crap anyway. :p
