Hi all,

I recently installed Microsoft Windows Vista on my Laptop. I have Windows 7, but is very slow. Windows 7 on my laptop takes 2 minutes and 10 seconds to get to the desktop. Way too slow! On Windows Vista, it only takes a mere 25 seconds. I do want to set my default operating system to Windows Vista, but it does not have the network adapters. And not surprisingly, I need the internet for most of the thins I do on my laptop. Is there a way to copy or install the adapters to Windows Vista?

Go to the manufacturers website and see if there are LAN drivers for Vista.

But the reason why Win7 takes so long to startup may be as simple as having too many things starting up automatically.
Going to Vista is not the answer...fix what's wrong with your Win7 installation.

I have disabled EVERYTHING in Windows 7.
I have spent days surfing through the internet to find solutions to speeding boot. I went to diagnostic startup, same boot time.
It is the system services that take a long time to start. 50 SECONDS!
I even reinstaled wiindows.

Thanks for the reply though

Also. Now I cant boot into Windows 7. It goes in an infinite loop the moment I press enter to select Windows 7 for the OS. I cant even press F8 to go to advanced options. If I press F8 it immeditely restarts. It occured after I went into windows Vista to see some specs. Any ideas? Now I am stuck with a blurry Windows Vista screen. Reed my post at:
