Hello, my pc died last night and I'm trying to diagnose why...
I7 3770k OC to 4.2
HD 7950 3gb twin froze MSI
8gb Kingston X extreme 1600mhz
120gb Intel 520SSD (other Hdd but this one contains os)
Z75 PRO3
HYPER212 Evo cooler
Evga 600b psu

I was looking through files half having a conversation with someone while looking for a file with a game running in the background (tabbed out). And my pc went dark.
Unplugged and plugged in psu
Press power button and all fans try to turn on then shut right back off.

Go to best buy and buy the list psu above and install. Same thing happens. I remove the video card thinking if I can pull the mobo reset battery maybe I can start troubleshooting basic stuff. Something tells me to run without video card before pulling the mobo battery.

Pc starts right up.

So I play around with it, video card plugged in to pci but not wired up-to works and fans on video card spin.
Once it's wired up the whole pc won't start.

Is this most likely my card?

Solution
Ok that makes things more complicated.
Well it is most likely your graphics card that is short circuiting and your psu just auto-shutdowns before the mobo can start up.
It is extremely unlikely that the problem lies with the mobo though possible. CPU and RAM can't be the problem or the system wouldn't work without graphics card.

What I would do first is remove the dust of the whole system. Don't do this with a vacuum cleaner! (static buildup, so except for removable fan filters its a no-go). You can use an air-spray can but those just move the dust elsewhere so make sure it doesn't settle back on other components. Another option is a non-static dust cloth or swapper.
It might resolve the problem, rather unlikely as when dust is the...

I don't have a speaker and don't hear anything otherwise. What would it mean if everything works without the video card? No errors or messages when it turns on without it and it doesn't turn on for a message with it

It might resolve the problem, rather unlikely as when dust is the problem of a failure most of the time the damage is permanent, but since it only costs a little time I always try it.
And else it's warranty claim for the graphics card or buy a new one I'm afraid.

EDIT: for the graphics card you will need an air-spray can as that is the only way to remove dust without removing the (stock?) cooler.
