Hello

Im going to buy a new laptop for everyday use and multimedia purposes - movies and extensive gaming. I arrived at the decision of buying one with an 1080p matte IPS panel (ASUS N550JK).
I know there will be scenarios (namely gaming), when I will have to use 720p.

I want somebody to clarify a few things for me:
- Will there be noticable blurring when using 720p on 15 or 17 inch or is the ppi enough?
- Is the IPS worth it or should I just buy one with a good TN panel? ( I know its better, but is there any gain from better viewing angles and color reproduction for my purposes? )

Thak you for your insights, Kudos,
Albert

The IPS panel has the advantage as it produces greater viewing angles, but a good tn panel won't be too bad either, I use a monitor with a good Tn panel and it gets the job done (I do graphic intensive tasks), any ways if you are going to view 720p on your 1080p display, there will be a difference but I don't consider it a deal breaker in anyway. If you are on a tight budget get the one with TN panel,
cheers.
