1st time build, will it all work, what cost effective improvements could be made?

hey all, building for the first time and trying to decide on parts, are they all compatible what issues might I run in to?

asus m5a97 le r2.0
corsair 600w cx
corsair vengeance low profile 8gb
wd 1tb
corsair spec-01
amd fx8350
windows 8.1
asus gtx 760 2gb or sapphire r9 270x 4gb

Everything will work fine. The Corsair CX series while not the worst is just mediocre. use this link to guide you

I would also advise against the CX, you can usually get a 550w XFX for the same price or cheaper and they are much better quality.

what about the rm series? should I get a mb with the 990 chipset, m5a99x evo r2.0 or is it not worth it for £50 difference

1. 760 is way more better than a 270X.
2. Get a spec 02 because it has an exhaust fan. If you plan to use extra fans then Spec 01 is fine.
3. For your build I would recommend a Seasonic S12II 620. Alternate is XFX Pro 650W. I wouldn't go below 600 because you may want to overclock that CPU down the line.

Rest is good :)  A small SSD will ramp up the boot time a lot, but that's more of a luxury than a necessity.
