Ok so I'm looking to put my mind at ease the other day I bent a pin on my CPU trying to put it into the motherboard It was like the smallest bend you'll ever see, well I should call it a slant. But then I read you can just bend the pin/pins back and the CPU will still work so that's what I did I moved the pin back into place and it fitted nicely in my motherboard. But here's the thing I got scansure which means I can replace Items if I accidently damage them I really don't want to go through the hassle of sending my CPU back so what I want to know is would It be all right if I just left it? I have 3 year warranty with AMD anyway, and my CPU looks as good as new.

Thanks,

Ben

Finish your build and run your PC if you get a difficult to explain high error rate or can't boot, that may still be affecting your build.

If everything runs as expected, Great and be more careful next time ;)

If the pin is slightly bent and slides into the cpu socket with no resistance you are fine. I have done this quite a few times myself over the years. Some pins are redundant.

Just like previously said you should be fine. While you should be as careful as possible with your CPU bending the pins can happen. The important thing is that you bend the pin back and it's as straight as possible so that there is no resistance when inserting and lowering the lever. So as long as you've done that you should be just fine.
