Is this due to there not being enough power? I have tested both cards and they work. I have a Rosewill Series HIVE-750W Continuous power supply, a SAPPHIRE 100364TXSR Radeon R9 270X graphics card, I don't know the name of the second card as i got it second hand but I believe its a few year old gaming card. there are 2 3.5' and 3 2.5' hard drives installed also.

If youbplug the second card (used one) and boot up on it alone you should be able to check your hardware and identify the card model etc..

Im not 100% positive but iirc the R9 270x is crossfire compatible either another R9 270x, HD 7850, or HD 7870 gpu's

If the second card is not one of these it could just be a comparability issue.

I'm guessing that's your problem right there.
