Have you changed the boot order in the BIOS to boot from CD, or USB, first?

When you turn on the computer, try hitting del, esc, F2, or F12 right away repeatedly until the BIOS opens. Do one key each time. Then look under boot options and you first boot priority.

Are you booting from a DVD? If so is it a USB DVD player?

Some computer, you have to press "any key" to boot from CD.
Is it possible you missed the "any key" message, or it is not showing up?

Another thing I had to do on my laptop in the BIOS is to turn off what is called something like "fast boot" in order for it to detect the DVD drive.
