ram isnt working with mobo?

i have a gigabyte am1m-s2h mobo with what i believe is generic memory (memory link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/160676882122?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) it works with the older memory i put in from my old desktop (HP Pavilion P7-1010t) but it doesnt work with the new RAM....

the memory you are linking to is ECC memory which is usually used for server motherboards.

your motherboard does not seem to support this type of memory.

from what I can tell the motherboard requires unbuffered non-ECC memory. Look for
regular Desktop Memory.
