I'm building a pc primarily based for gaming and in wondering weather I would get noticeably better performance with the 4690 compared to the 4590 I don't know if I'm going to need to spend the extra $30 and would prefer not too

I would get the i5-4670k or 4690k, as they are overclockable and those 2 are not, The 4690/90k is a overclocked version of the 670/70k. But in gaming there wouldnt be much difference between the 4590 and 4690/90k, Other than shortening load times in a few games such as waiting for the ai enemy in civ 5. But for pretty much every other game they are almost the same.
