Brand New PC No Longer Connects via HDMI to brand new TV (both are two weeks old!)

I bought a new custom built gaming PC a couple of weeks ago and it was connecting perfectly to my 42 inch Panasonic TV, which is also brand new.

All of a sudden, the HDMI connection no longer works on my Panasonic TV, but works when connecting to a standard monitor via a VGA cable.

What's weird is that my PC will connect to a smaller Bush TV via HDMI...

Its definitely not the brand new TV as it connects to my macbook 2008 via the same HDMI cable.

Please help, this is driving me crazy.

The thing is, I returned a 1 year old 42 inch Samsung TV as I believed the HDMI ports to be faulty... And then I bought a brand new Panasonic 42 inch and the same thing is happening.

I can connect to the TV from DVA (not sure if thats its name) to HDMI and it works fine.

Could it be the HDMI cable?

As I said before, it connects to my smaller Bush TV (20 inch) via the same HDMI cable. But im not 100% as to whether the Bush TV produces 1080p... It may just be 720p.

Its really confusing/annoying.

That does work.

But I want to get HDMI to HDMI working again as it was working before so why shouldn't it now.

The facts are below:

1. HDMI to hdmi was working perfectly fine on my Samsung 42 inch until a few days ago.

2. I returned my Samsung TV as it was still under warranty as I believed the Hdmi ports to be faulty.

3. Then after purchasing a brand new Panasonic 42 inch today, I have not been able to get it to connect via hdmi to hdmi.

4. I have tested using the same hdmi cable to a separate smaller HD TV and the computer connects to this in 1080p.

5. I can connect to a standard monitor via a VGA to VGA cable.

6. I can also connect via DVA to hdmi.

Is it the cable? The computer? Or the TV?

I believe the least likely option is the TV given that the same issue has occurred with two similar specced TVs...

Have you connected the tv via the HDMI cable, allowed the computer long enough to load, and then cycled through the tv's display modes to see if it shows then? I have had this to happen once or twice but not sure how I got it to work right.

Also, have you connected it via the DVI/VGA cable, allowed it to load up, and then tried to switch to the HDMI without powering anything off?

It doesn't show up on the TV... The PC knows that my Panasonic exists, there's just no visual connection.

And yes, I have tried connecting dvi to hmdi and hdmi to hdmi at the same time and it works with the former but NOT with the latter.
