Hello,

I bought a PC rig
specs:
MSI 970, Chipsatz: AMD 970/SB950
AMD FX 6300 Six Core Oc'd to 4.4Ghz (for cooler i choosed EKL Alpenföhn Sella)
Gigabyte GTX770 x3 Windforce
16GB DDR3 Ram
120GB SSD + 1TB HDD
COOLER MASTER GX-Series, 600W

Would AMD Fx 6300 bottleneck GTX 770?
And is PSU enough?

Solution
Even a 5960x on 4.5ghz wouldn't achieve more fps than the 4790k. I would not call that a bottleneck, but rather very, very poor game optimization. Talking about gw2, while it's heavily cpu bound, anything over a 3770k will produce about the same fps. Drops in huge battles are nothing you could work around.

60 fps and bottleneck have nothing to do with each other, by the way. When both, cpu and gpu don't get to around 100% usage, thats poor coding. When the cpu gets to 100%, but the gpu does not, then thats a bottleneck. Vice versa, the gpu limits.

I see scaling with the CPU. Its not being held back by the GPU.

Different scene (but higher settings) and a titan should be getting nearly 60 fps.

Or you can play games like GW2 and be held back by the CPU.

The 6300 overclocked will be okay for a 770. But currently no CPU on the market can guarantee 60 fps mins in all games.
