I have just gotten a H80i and was running a £10 aftermarket cooler before with idle's of around 32c, the pump is definitely running(2320rpm) and the fans are in push-pull(1290rpm). Changed the thermal paste(Akasa 455, this one has served me well for years) and reseated 3 times. I've seriously run out of ideas and am now really struggling. I did have an overclock at 3.9ghz on stock voltage but I took that off to see if it was the problem, it isn't. Changing to performance mode from quiet mode doesn't make a difference to the temps. Btw this is the first watercooling I've done, always been air for me before

A thing I have noticed is when I open the case up one of the tubes is very warm and the other quite cool, so it has me thinking maybe my cpu is overheating for some reason and its not the H80's fault at all

I was having the same issues with my new FX-8320 and H100i. Was idling at 45....Then after doing some research i found out that Temp was the WRONT temp! I use Speed Fan. There is a CPU temp and a Core temp. The CPU Temp it wrong. Here i was thinking it was idling around 45 when really it was 28 XD so may want to look into that as well.
