Hi
My current config shows signs of nearing its limits but before I go all out and invest in changing MB + CPU + Graphic card I Wonder if I can improve by just changing the graphic card. Here is my current config:
Board Asus P7P55D-E LX
CPU 2.9GHz Intel Core i5 760 @ 3.2GHz
Memory Corsair Vengeance 4x4Gb
System HDD 180Gb Corsair Force 3 SSD
Data HDD 2Tb SCSI 3
Graphic Card Sapphire Radeon 6850 1Gb
I noticed that many of the new cards are PCI-e 3 but my MB only has a PCI-e 2 slot. I would like to stick to Radeon as I have a 2-screen set-up that works well with Catalyst Any suggestions as to what would be the best buy?
Many thanks in advance for your help.

I'd get a 780( Or r9 290), i5 4690k and a board to go with it if you can afford it

Thanks for your answer. From other threads I can see that all the new PCI-e 3.0 cards will work fine in a PCI-e 2.0 slot which is a relief as I can start by getting a new card and if that's not good enough I can consider later a new bord and CPU. So now I'm trying to find the best card that won't exceed the 250 bucks mark and be assured that when I change the board and CPU I won't have to thrash my new card...

If your budget is tighter, you can go along with an R9 270x, or a HD 7000 series equivalent, even though the R9's are better performance for almost same price, $209.
