Audio Output Issue

I am trying to make some LED lights flash to music. I have 3 audio outputs on the back of my computer, green, black and orange. I have already successfully connected the green audio cable to a transistor to one line of LEDs so that they flash to music. What I want to do is connect the black and orange audio outputs to their own lines of LEDs. From there I should be able to get three lines of LEDs to flash.

The problem is I cannot figure out how to get audio output out of the black and orange outputs. Even after I select them as default devices there is no sound. Can someone help?

BTW I tested all the outputs with speakers before LEDs.

They black and orange are for 5.1 setups. Could try switching to a 5.1 setup.

Thanks, but I already tried that.

To simplify my question a bit, I just what to know how to get sound out of the black and orange aux ports on the back of the motherboard.

I have Virtual Audio Cable, so once I figure out how to get the sound to output from those ports I should easily be able to complete my goal.

Thanks.

Is there any way to get sound to just come out the black or orange port?

Not that I am aware of though somebody may know a way.
You could use the stereo feeds from the green jack though to give feeds to two LEDs.
