Hi,
i recently bought 2x4gb Kingston Hyper X Fury 1866MHz sticks but had to return them for incompatibility with my motherboard (MSI H55M-E33).
I've been told it was for the Hight density DRAM memory incompatible with my chipset.
I am now worried to buy new RAM.
Will 2x4Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400MHz work with my board?

No.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
"DDR3 - 2133(OC)/ 2000(OC)/ 1800(OC)/ 1600(OC)/ 1333/ 1066/ 800 "

Ram speeds don't effect that many application's performance except specific work related ones though.
Go with a 1333 speed or 1600 speed. (you'll have to go into the bios and set it for 1600 speed)

Yep, the Fury's, unlike about 99% of the DRAM avail that uses XMP, depends on PnP and your chipset isn't compatible. If OCing at all might go 1600 even 1866, otherwise I'd suggest 1333 probably the GSkill Ripjaws, Ripjaws X or Snipers

I need high clock rams for overclock purposes. I can get them at 1866mhz. I want the 2400mhz ones because i found them on amazon 20 euros cheaper than the 1866mhz ones!
So, in the end, will they be compatible?

But you CANT overclock the ram that high with that motherboard.

I found them on amazon on discount by 20 euros, cheaper than 1600mhz ones!!!!!
I don't care if i can't take them to 2400! I just need to know if they will work, even if at 1600mhz due to my chipset limits, that's what i asked. period.

Maybe.
The motherboard "should" downgrade it to the slowest setting (1333) but it still might not work.

I'd say just buy these: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/part/patriot-memory-pv38g160...

The difference in performance between them and the vengeance pro isn't noticeable anyways. Don't waste money on overly fancy ram.

When first installed the DRAM will go to the mobos default, here I believe 1066 (might be 1333 though), then you set it via XMP or manually

viper 3 1866mhz cost 92.64Euros, Vengeance pro 2400mhz, 87.20Euros. Not a waste of money don't you think? Or you still recommend me the vipers.

Are you 100% sure they will work? I don't want to put them in and see my pc not booting like the fury sticks.
Will patriot viper 3 sticks have better chances to work like James Mason suggest?

I don't use Patriot DRAM, if going with what I suggested, yes, if going with the 2400 COrsair, more than likely though doubt you'll get them up near 2400

I will only be able to get 1866MHz, YES. The corsair Vengeance PRO 2400mhz sticks are on discount, even cheaper than 1866mhz ones! I don't care i won't be able to max them out! The real question is WILL THEY WORK EVEN AT 1866Mhz? YES OR NO.

Yes if you can OC your CPU high enough to carry them at 1866

It doesn't have to be Patriot.

Whatever is the cheapest 8GB 1600mhz cas 9 will work fine.

why 1600.. i can take them to 1866 by overclocking....
Tested Latency: 9-10-9-27 for 1866mhz corsair vengeance pro. Is that ok?

Your board doesn't support 1866 so I have a feeling you can't take it to that by overclocking.

By increasing clock frequency my motherboard also increases ram frequency automatically. With my NH-D14 i can get my even to 4ghz easily, thus 1866MHz is supported as you can see on msi official site.
