Can't run bf3 on ultra settings.

Even medium settings lag a little :ouch:

My PC specs are:

CPU: i3-2100 3.10Ghz

GPU: Asus GTX750 ti GDDR5 2GB OC Edition

RAM: 3GB (8GB is on the way)

Uh duh, you are trying to run that rig on Ultra? Good luck.

The Sandy Bridge i3 is old, and doesn't perform too well. And especially the GTX 750 Ti can't run on high. Its sweet spot is medium.

The gtx750ti can run BF4 on ultra at... "bare minimum okay FPS" but it runs it with a i3-4130. those older i3s aren't very good.

A new video card won't exactly help much, the CPU is the problem here.

Yes an i5/7-2/3XXX will work in your system.
But you'd want to check with your motherboard manufacturer for an exact compatibility list.
