I am looking for a very cheap optical (CD) drive to install on the PC i'm building. The drive is literally only going to be used to install the initial operating system. Will pretty much anything work? Something I found on eBay is this Toshiba Satellite for less than $10 shipped. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toshiba-Satellite-L305-L355-L305D-SATA-CD-DVD-RW-V000121950-V000123260/261579372001?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3De14b47ec0565440aaee5ef24b917b7c0%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D20131003132420%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D251633117031&rt=nc

That will be just fine to install, Although if you plan on keeping a disc tray in your bays you would need a 5.25". But that doesn't seem like the case.

They drive simply hooks in with a sata :)
