Phantom 410-Case
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO-fan
Corair Vengeance Blue 8 GB-RAM

thinking about :
WD Blue 1TB HDD-hdd
Samsung 840 EVO SSD 250 GB-ssd
Intel Core i5 4590-cpu
Gigabyte R9 290-gpu
Asus ATX 2600-mobo

what kind of PSU do I need?

Solution

The R9 290 peforms similarly to a 780, but costs less. However there has been some problems with these cards coming DOA and they are known to run at high temps. So you might get a good card from the start, or you might have to RMA it.

Looks good so far. Future parts also looks good. You could get a Seagate Barracuda which is slightly faster than the Caviar Blue for a bit cheaper.

For the PSU get a 650W model if you don't plan to crossfire the r9 290, but if you do get a 850W PSU.

Also do you know the exact Asus motherboard you're getting? the 2600 is probably one of the ram speeds it can support.
