My screen turns black and when I reboot my pc a window open up saying I blue screened but I did not witness any BSOD error screen while rebooting. It would take me to start up option saying my pc failed to restore after sleep.

your screen may turn black if your power fluctuated and your CPU was reset. on the next boot it would record a error that the machine rebooted without a shutdown but there would not actually be a bugcheck listed and memory .dmp file saved.

look for a memory .dmp file on your system or download bluescreenview.exe or whocrashed.exe and have the program take a stab at looking at the files for you.

You can also get this error if your machine goes to sleep, shuts down the display then you attempt to wake the machine but the BIOS does not have a method selected for waking the machine. Most often this happens when people put on a new keyboard that is using a USB connector rather than the default PS/2 connector. if this is the case, you...

Most often this happens when people put on a new keyboard that is using a USB connector rather than the default PS/2 connector. if this is the case, you have to go into BIOS and make sure that the USB ports are not put to sleep. (can do this in windows control panel power management also)
