Hi guys,
I REALLY need some help on this one. Usually I can figure out most issues with my system/build (with the help of forums) but this one needs some pro advice.... I'm completely stuck and don't know what to do.

I have recently upgraded my machine with a new CPU, GPU, PSU and a SSD. The system is no more then 2 months old with a fresh new install of windows 7 64 bit. I have not overclocked the system and am only running the basic drivers (no beta's). Other then my GPU, the latest driver is not running (the latest driver doesn't work, running one older). The system has been running flawlessly with all my games.

The problem -->I only had my PC on for about an hour to transfer some songs from my sons PC to mine. I then left my PC running for an hour. When I returned I noticed my screen saver wasn't on but a message from my anti-virus Emsisoft. The free Emsisoft Anti-Malware is sweet, always picks up stuff my old anti-virus missed. So I decided to get the paid anti-virus program. Not really happy with it to be honest for this reason... It always gives me these messages like the one I'm mentioning. "Block or Allow. Emsisoft can not determine host to be friend or foe". Usually it's something I recognize and I select "allow". BUT... this time it was something I didn't recognize so I selected "block" like I have sometimes in the past. We'll, That's when the shit hit the fan. After selecting "block" my task bar went grey and when I tried opening programs, even shutting down my system, it just said that operation can't be done. In frustration I clicked a shit load of things and nothing but ??? "The blue screen of death" (memory dump). In the middle of the memory dump the system turns off. /cry! /scared!
What to do? I first try to restart the PC and just after the BIOS post it say "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" I scream! I then go into the BIOS to make sure that my SSD is selected as boot 1. I then find out that my SSD is not even recognized at all in the BIOS. I then take the SSD out and place it in my son's PC and it still doesn't get recognized in the BIOS but I do see it as a "F drive". I do a virus check on the "F Drive / SSD" and everything seems fine..... So what the hell??

Please help guys and Thank You Very Much in advance for any help. :/

If you can access the files with the SSD installed on your son's computer, I would back up all of you personal files to another drive ( external back up drive by preference) and make sure you've got your Windows product key, then reformat it.

Then reinstall it on your PC and do a clean Windows install. Then reinstall the drivers and programs, minus the Emsisoft program, then transfer your personal files back over. You can try the Emsisoft again if you want, but I'd switch to a better program like Bit Defender.

Hi Volcanoscout,

Thank You Very Much for your response. That advice is great and I did think about that all night in bed, pretty much the only thing I could come up with also but..... my system is not that old and why would it all of a sudden just quit on me... there has to be a reason. something to avoid in the future or something. There must be a simple fix or solution for this. I truly believe its not a virus.

WELL.... at breakfast this morning I had to do some research on my wife's iPad about this... it was driving me nuts. I have done a fair bit of it on my son's PC but couldn't come up with anything. Now this morning scanning around Tom's forum's here I started to fine SSD not recognized stuff.... Hmm... ?
With all the stuff I found on the forum's I thought I would go and at least make sure my cables were snug, changed Sata ports, changed cables even and then went into the BIOS to make sure AHCI was enabled and stuff. Since everything work great before and it being a new system... things should be fine. Everything was fine... "BUT"! .... I noticed in SATA Configuration that my Kingston HyperX was recognized. This was great! I continued to go back into SB SATA Configuration where I saw AHCI was enable. I looked farther down and noticed all my SATA ESP on PORT 1-6 where Disabled??? 0.o I enabled 1-2 and 6 SATA ESP ports where my HHD's where. Saved and exited..........

BAMN! Everything works great Now!!! ?what the Hell?

The only thing now is that there's a Safety Remove Hardware and Eject Media Button on my Tool bar now. If I right click this... I have the choice now to Eject my /C: or /F: drive ?? Really?

After all this... I hope it helps someone else out there but I still have a Question for the Pro's out there.... Can anyone explain what happened and Why? How can I prevent this from happening again? How can I remove the option to Eject my Hard drives? Other then Volcanoscout no other has responded to this thread. I know this probably is a Noob scenario but.... Some answers or advice about this thread would be appreciated.

Thank You in Advance.
