I bought a Samung 1TB SSD card and i also have a 1TB normal hard drive, i used Samsung magician to clone Windows 8.1 to my SSD card and that was a success but i now still have my windows folder in my old hard drive, is this right? do i need to remove my old hard drive from my computer?

you don't need to remove the hard drive, keep it for extra storage.
and if the files in there are identical to the ssd you can just wipe it
