Im planning on buying windows 8.1 for a 6 year old computer. The computer has a 6gb RAM, AMD Phenom 2.2 ghz. I'm also buying a new Hard drive 1tb SSHD from seagate. The tower is from 2008. I think that the hard drive is done; it wont let me install anything. So I would be buying a new hard drive and buying a new OS because HP doesnt provide the 'code' for when reinstalling the OS.
