monitor not getting g signal from graphics card

Hi
I bought a MSI r9 270x 2gb oc gaming edition graphics card and used it for one day and it worked perfectly fine .....I played the NFS rivals at ultra settings ...everything was fine but now when I tried to open it ....my monitor goes blank and says there is no power coming from your computer but the fans of the card are working fine and so are the other fans also ...so. I checked it. And also checked that if all the cables are fitted tightly and properly. They were all fine but still I couldn't get the display from the card ...so I tried putting the monitor cable to the mobo VGA slot and to my surprise my monitor turned on. .........could you tell me why this is happening its a new graphics card only used it for a day. ..
My specs are
Intel core i5 second generation 3 GHZ
corsair 4 GB ram 1333mhz
Gigabyte b75m d3h mobo
Corsair sv550 psu

1. I'm fairly certain that the VS series is the weakest in Corsair's lineup, and shouldn't be stressed very much.

2. Have you made sure the card is plugged into the 6-pin PCI-E connector? You may have unplugged it or something.

3. Might be a driver issue. Uninstall the drivers when using the integrated graphics and then

Yes I checked each and every port and cable. They all are very connected properly and tighthly ......and the thing you said about the vs series being the weakest ......am I wrong to select the vs series .......should I buy some other series .....and also if my power supply is weak why is it still working shouldn't it be fried first before letting anything happen to the graphic card ....as the PSU is working perfectly fine

Before you completely trash it, borrow one from someone else and try theirs to see if it is the power supply. If not, don't get rid of it. It can hold its own just fine for the time being.

Check drivers. Uninstall and reinstall.

Well I don't know anyone who(as I am the only one serious gamer in my locality) has a PSU for spare or that can I borrow it but are saying that the card could still be fine. ...could you tell me the reason of the graphic card's fan still running ........and which PSU would suggest ..........and also the minimum requirements for the card is 500w power supply ...............so changing it would not be a good idea I guess ...and I also I forgot to tell that I tried to connect it to my TV through the hdmi cable ....but still I got the same result no display. So I got pretty sure the sadly my graphics card died .......and how do I install or uninstall things if I don't get any display......

Take the card out, use the motherboard graphics, then uninstall the drivers.

You may have to RMA it.

Did some research. And found that the vs 550 will not be enough. For my graphics card. Would like to know some other options. For PSU. That can support my graphics card

Corsair CX/CS is good enough at that level, or Cooler Master's V-series power supplies. Both are fairly modestly priced.
