When I turn my computer on the monitor takes 3 minutes to receive the signal to turn on. I already tried a different monitor and it's not that.

When it does turn on I can't get to the Bios because it just shows the Windows 8 login screen.

Last thing I did before this started happening is I was trying to reset my ssd to factory settings...i made a disk to boot but i never did it...so I can't see why it would be because of that....

besides that the computer works perfect.

evga 760 video card

Your MB has a built in Video Card right?
Is it possible the BIOS is selecting that first (don't know how the setting would have been changed, but stuff happens)?
Then, when the computer reaches Windows it would figure out which video card had a monitor plugged in.

Try booting up with the monitor plugged in to the built in video card, see if that gets you anything. If it does, change the bios settings so that the first video card used is the PCI one.

If you're trying to get to the BIOS, start the computer, and WITHOUT waiting to see the prompt, start pressing the key that launches the BIOS (Usually DEL, and in the case of a Gigabyte MB I know it is). Press that key a couple of times, maybe 5, evenly spaced presses while the computer boots and there is nothing on the screen.
Then wait.
If done correctly, your monitor will eventually turn on, and show you the BIOS screen.

Hopefully this work for you. I have a monitor that as soon as I reboot or power off starts cycling through it's inputs (HDMI, DVI, VGA) and so I rarely see my boot screen anymore. This is the method I use to access the BIOS. Good luck.

doesn't work. odd thing is when i do hit the delete over and over...the monitor then NEVER turns on. I am more trying to figure out why my monitor is taking so long to turn on....i think that may fix the bios problem if I figure that out.
