i have evga gtx 780 3gb sc with acx cooler and a lg ips ied monitor at 1080p and 60hz and was wondering why some games say 59 hz rather than 60 hz watch dogs doesnt do this but games like grid 2 seem to do this. if i go to nvidia control panel and then doa custom resolution will that fix it. or is it just the way the game was made

Solution
It would mean the game is running at 59hz and wouldn't affect windows. It's probably a difference in rounding in different games.
Reading up on it, there is something in control panel on win7 where the refresh rate shows up 59hz even if it is set to 60hz due to rounding.

In any case you're not going to see a 1 hz difference.
