Hi Guys

i would like To tell about Something Happened To Me , My Cpu is an old one but still Gold : Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHZ 12Mb ....but I notice The Following
About 2 Days Ago while I M playing Fifa 2014 i Noticed some Lags During the Game so i went to To Desktop & i Run the Speed Fan , the Cpu Foxcoon Fan RPM is Only 200 ( RPM is Always between 2500-3000)
The CPU Temprature is 90 Degree , Core 1 95 Degree , Core0 =95 Degree
i Got Panic so I touch The fan With My Hand then it goes Back To 2700 Rpm ...& the Cpu cooled Down but Stop At 55 Degree with The Same degree For the Cores , i Turn Off My PC For About 15 Minute then i Turn it On ...i Run The Speed Fan , it Gets Back To Normal With Cpu Degree was 41-43 & Core 0 & Core 1 were 48-50 ....& every Thing Back To Normal & i Continue To Play
My Concern is about 2 Things :
1- Why The PC didnt Shut Down when My Cpu Temps Got over 71 ..The Cpu Must Shut down when it Get Heated Right ?
2- is That mean There s Something Wrong With Cpu ... bcz it Didnot Shut Down
3- I Must Replace the Cpu Fan , Bcz it s not Working Right For About A Month , but i am afraid it affected My Cpu

I need Your Help PLZ

Solution
71 C is actually the CPU maximum operating temp. This does not mean it will not work if temp is over. It will simply work slower because of resistance created by heating.

Your computer would have probably shut down if you got over 100 C not 95, so don't worry there.

Was there any dust blocking your fan ? try cleaning the CPU fan. (Do no use a vacuum cleaner as it can create a static electrical charge.)
