I use softwares like 3ds Max, Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, Adobe premiere and After effects on my current intel dual core with 1gb Ati readon hd 5450 gpu. So modelling and texturing is not an issue but rendering takes lots of time(lots of). But my budget is not more than the price of fx8350 or i5 4690k.
So can anybody here help me out on this one?

More about : amd 8350 intel 4690k rendering

Between those 2 CPU and you would be doing rendering. You will need more threads.

So the FX-8350 has 8 threads and 4 more than any i5 CPU. However if you will be doing more of rendering and if budget isn't really a problem but you mentioned it is. But I really recommend an i7 for these use.

yeah i agree with joeteoh99, the i7 would be the way to go, but if that's totally out of the question then i would say the amd would be better in this instance due to more cores. that said, do you currently have a rig? if so what socket? if it's something like an intel z87 or amd fm2 why not buy something more upper end in those? if not oh well my advice still stands.

It is not the cores that matter the most but the threads for rendering images. :D

Thanks for the quick reply Joe. So, i'll be considering Fx 8350 then.

Get Nvidia GPU, render on GPU -> profit. Seriously it's a lot faster using the GPU for rendering.

You mean, I should render with engines like Octane, furryball, Vray RT and similiar to these ?
I have read a lot about these on many forums and blogs and they all says that these renderers are not that stable and lack few parameters as compared to Vray adv.

And i also use Vray adv mainly. I don't have any personal experience with those engines, but if you have used them, can you suggest which one is best according to you!!
